Research: Including and Supporting LGBTQ2+ Persons with Dementia and Caregivers Recruitment is currently ongoing for research at Brock University, that aims to better understand the care needs of LGBTQ2+ individuals living with dementia or cognitive impairments , and to explore the extent these needs are being met by dementia services in Canada. We are looking to conduct 1 hour interviews over the phone or on Zoom, with: -LGBTQ2+ persons living with dementia or cognitive impairment , -LGBTQ2+ persons providing care to someone with dementia or cognitive impairment or; -Caregivers to LGBTQ2+ persons with dementia or cognitive impairments. The interview will include questions about your use of dementia services as it relates to your LGBTQ2+ identity and how services can be improved to better meet the needs of those in the LGBTQ2S+ community. Do You Want to Participate in a Hearing Study? A hearing research team based in the University of Alberta's Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine is now recruiting participants for a study about your experiences using a newly designed online hearing screening tool. Study Title: Online Hearing Activity – User Experience Study Purpose: Hearing care professionals are interested in developing user-friendly online tools that allow Canadians to learn more about their hearing without having to travel to a clinic. This study will involve completing an online hearing activity that features techniques similar to those used in clinical tests. Our research team is working to develop and improve this online tool.
