Albertans dying from COVID-19 at more than three times the average Canadian rate
According to the CBC and Global News, the death rate in Alberta due to Covid-19 continues to climb. The death rate is driven by the unvaccinated. Alberta records 34 new COVID-19 deaths as ICU admissions increase. What can you do to help curb the tide of deaths in Alberta?
- Get Vaccinated. Remember even if you are vaccinated, you can still catch and carry the virus, so vaccinations alone are not enough when Alberta has a record number of people who will not get the vaccine.
- Wear a mask at all times when in public. Masks can protect you and others. Being vaccinated isn’t enough, so take the precaution of wearing a mask. It’s the law.
- Social distance. Even with a mask, social distance. Love your fellow man enough to stay away. Don’t engage in activities you don’t have to, but when you do have to go out, keep your distance.
- Wash your hands. Sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and rinse on the chorus! Sanitize when you can’t wash. Do so often.
Our hospitals are overrun with young Covid-19 patients, 45 and over. These are people who are unvaccinated and are leaving behind young children, bereft spouses and a grieving community. Encourage your loved ones to get vaccinated and do your part by doing everything you can to prevent the spread of this deadly virus.
